Balancing our Nutrition

We began by discussing some of the foods we love to eat: ice cream, pizza, chocolate, candy, chips, etc. we noticed a pattern in the foods. So I asked the kids if we love them, why don’t we eat them for every meal? Right away they knew because it wasn’t healthy! The kids immediately made the connection to our Balancing Act IB unit. We took a look at balancing our food we eat and how we can do it.

The children are working on creating the Eat Well Plate to remind them how to balance their meals!

    Maybe this is why Charlie was proud to tell me that he ate the carrots in his lunchbox!
