David Goes to School

Happy 3rd day! We have been spending a lot of time getting used to new routines and good work habits. As a class we have discussed “Essential Agreements” we need to have for the classroom. We have come up with lots including be kind, be respectful, use quiet voices, don’t disturb others, don’t roll your eyes 🙂 and many more!

Hopefully your child taught you lots about bucket filling! They have been keeping my bucket very full! 🙂

Today we read David Goes to School. We made many connections with our classroom, and our own essential agreements. We even concluded that maybe the author David Shannon was writing about himself as a little boy! To follow the book, we did a listening practice and learned how to draw David! The kids wrote their own “Essential Agreements” to go with it!
